The Trian Woodburns are a Texas based 3 piece. Formed in the summer of 07 we are a by product of the Texas bands, The Flamin Hellcats, Simpleton, Dive and Donkey Punch. Our sound is a product of a variety of musical interests varying from classic country to hard rock. Our set consists of both electric and acoustic material and our song writing has a give it a try approach.
Last weekend was a busy one, we took off from Houston headed for our neighbor San Antonio. The plan: to record all day Saturday, play a show that night and return bright and early to the studio Sunday to finish up. To everyone’s surprise it all worked out.
We recorded with Joe at Blue Cat Studios. It was a great time, just on a ruff mix the sound was excellent. Joe is very cool to work with and took the time to introduce us to the finest taquerias the town has to offer. We hope to be back in there very soon.
On to the show: We played with our pals, the Austin band Amplified Heat at the Mix. The night was one of the best so far, great club, great people and of course Amplified Heat tore it up. Thanks to everyone see ya soon!
Our studio recording was fun and all but we never really thought it captured what we think this band is all about.
Mark your calenders my friends. Saturday February 21st we will be recording live at Dan Electros Guitar Bar in Houston.
Our pals in World’s Most Dangerous will be joining also. Get some sleep, put on your drinking pants and tell mama you’ll be spending the night at a friend’s house this one is going to be on.
This weekend we set out for the usual Texas Two Step, San Antonio Friday, then back to Houston Saturday. For this trip our buddy was nice enough to let us take his 81 RV - The Leprechaun 1.
Over the past year the Leprechaun has been very good to us but she gets a little testy on the old gas gauge. Well Friday our luck finally ran out. 13 Miles from the nearest gas station half way across Texas she gave up on us.
Thank fully our buddy and owner of the RV has a fail-safe way to hitch a ride - just walk down the freeway with your credit card held high. Not the safest plan in the world but it works. In less than a second he was on his way to Columbus.
It turns out the person who helped us was not looking for a quick tip. He just wanted to help. We also learned that he is in the service and will be going on his 3rd deployment over seas. We would like to thank “Will”, we wish him a safe tour and a quick return home!
We have final finished our new cd “Running For Your Thrills”. The disc features 10 songs 5 of which are available for download from the form to the right.
We recorded at Digital Services near Houston. All the guys were great and very patient during our 3 week camp out.

The Bubba’s Halloween party was the best since stealing candy and blowing up mailboxes! Thank you Yosemite Sam and Playboy Bunny for everything. It’s always a good time watching The Dolly Rockers and The Famin’ Hell Cats. Hope to do it again next year!
